Romantic Tidbits
Romantic Life of Toast
is a diverse collection of whimsical poems for readers of all ages that
illustrate the secret lives of the inanimate objects that surround us.
From the
book's preface:
One
day my toaster burned my toast and I started muttering at it like a
dissatisfied customer. That got me thinking about what if.
What if the toaster had a personality and got indignant when it
heard complaints? What if other household items had their own points
of view? I became entranced.
That's how I came to write about the secret lives of the inanimate
objects that surround us. If they could talk, what would they say?
Would they have the same human failings as we mortals? The result is
this book of fanciful poems that asks you to imagine what if.
The next time you encounter appliances, tools, furniture, any
object, watch out! Its opinions may delight and surprise you.
